Unlike my other glazes, Bramshall Blue is not inspired the physical landscape of where I live but by the spirit of the village and the people who live here. Never have I lived in such a close community before, where neighbours support and help each other, where you can walk into the pub and know people by name, where you have friends on your doorstep. I felt that it deserved celebrating and this rich, dark blue was the perfect embodiment of that spirit.

Why is this glaze a limited edition?

During my early glaze testing, I produced small quanities of glazes that ultimately didn't fit the palette that I was aiming for. I don't want to waste them so I have created some pots in these limited editions glazes. While this iteration of Bramshall Blue might not be around forever, I suspect that the name will outlive the recipe and it will come back in a slightly different form in the future.
